Well ladies and germs, it would appear that the template fairy has come to drop off a new template.
The main reason for the switch is that I’ve grown weary of hearing “Grey on black is so droll” or “It hurts my eyes.” I also didn’t realize JUST how true this was for me either until I went to go catch up on Edict of Instinct and started getting a headache.
So, what I’m gonna do here is see how this one pans out with you (the readers) and see what we can do to prove it’s worthiness over Hemingway/NinjaMonkeys. Likes/dislikes and any issues you guys find would be much appreciated. Also, bear with me while I get all my widgets and whatnot working to better accomodate the new layout.
On a lighter note, I’m working on building up character profiles and backgrounds to help endear you to the people that James is trying to kill/avoid being killed by.

Brilliant lay-out, but can I suggest you change the colour of the “what I’m doing” items please? Mainly due to the fact that I can see there is tex there, but not what it says
I second the above suggestion. The red is really hard to see. I would also like to see more of the entries on the main page like it used to be instead of having just the title of the recent entries, if that makes sense. But overall, I like the new layout a lot.
I think the new layout is brilliant!
Gail has done a marvellous job with the artwork too.
I am looking forward to reading the next part of the story
Ok, the header for the review links is all but visible. I second the “what I’m doing” comment. Colour needs to be different, although I can read it, if I try hard enough. I think the bonus story you’re currently working on is the question I asked, which makes me ridiculously happy. The sudden appearance of an honest-to-goodness picture of James is also a pleasant surprise. It looks good.

I mostly like the new theme, but for the side bars, bright white text on a dark black background is very hard on the eyes. Please either grey down the white or grey up the black, to reduce the contrast (probably the former would be best, given the palette of the artwork).
Okay, so here’s a list of changes.
With some(read alot) help from Chris I’ve altered the color scheme a bit, making all the sidebars easier to read.
As for the recent posts thing, I’ll see what I can do about getting more detail on the recent posts, though I’m sure if this template has room for that sort of thing.
